The University of Haifa believes that an important part of the international master’s student experience in Israel is integrating into the local society.
One initiative we’ve started to uphold this value is connecting our students with Israeli families for meals. Most recently, many of our International School staff had the opportunity to host international students for the festive holiday feast, known as the Passover “Seder”.
The “Seder” is the first meal of the Passover holiday, and it includes many traditional rituals. The story of the Jewish exodus from Egypt is told and commemorated during the meal. It is an interactive meal and there are many opportunities for the students to get involved in the “Seder”.
